You always have the most interesting characters. Their hair suggests storytime. WHERE IS THE STORYTIME.
Aside from pointless complaints that have nothing to do with the artwork, this is really cute and I like the way you colored everything, but for some reason I want more of a background. I think that might just be because the mistletoe is relevant, and the minute I have to stop paying attention to the characters and note an aspect of the scenery, my brain proceeds to go into critical error mode if the scenery isn't coherent.

Well... I drew a bunch of stuff with backgrounds recently and about all I can say is that it could look worse. I dunno if it's gonna pump up my drawings to the next level or not.
Although I can say for certainty that whenever you do put in completed backgrounds, I end up loving them. Still not over that one picture with the water~
