Hope you guys like this new one. Actual work time was not toooo long this time, but I'm so busy lately that I still had to spread it out over two weeks or more.I studied bellbrook's clouds a lot for this one, love his work and I always wanted to give his approach a try.
Anyways, print will be up tomorrow or so. Let me know what you think, as usual

Ich bin wirklich immer wieder fasziniert davon wie real das bei dir rΓΌberkommt...und doch sieht man's dass es gezeichnet ist. einfach herrlich!

Naja in dem Fall hab ich aber durchaus auch zwei drei Fotos mit eingearbeitet. Die sind sicher nur Grundlage und ich mal viel drΓΌber, aber ich will auch net so tun, als waere das jetzt ein reines Painting =] Die hab ich auch, Have a Rest waere so eins, aber das mach ich mal so und mal so =]
Und naja, es geht mir nicht ums beschwichtigen, aber wenn du es wirklich willst, dann kannst du das auch =] Ist wie alles eine Sache der Γbung und der Zeit, die man da reinsteckt =] Und du malst doch schon ziemlich viel, da wirst du dich auch stetig verbessern =]

Durch die Wolke vorne rechts hat das Ganze irgendwie was bedrohliches, obwohl man sonst eher sage wΓΌrde, dass es nach nem netten PlΓ€tzchen aussieht.

nice one.
crit: the island in the mid ground (the one with the green) seems to high in contrast and my eye keeps going to it, i think the sun rays hitting it also make me look at it, where I assume you wan the viewer to look at the mid big island which has the same values. might be worth knocking back the mid island giving less contrast. Kind of same thing on foreground rocks. They work nicely framing image but i'd knock back on some of the sharpness and contrast they have. (you have atmospheric perspective in the background just need it ion foreground) Water and clouds are nice. As the island is acting as the focal point, it might have been nice to add something on it, perteridactils (sp?) circling the high rock area perhaps where they have their nests?

This is really believable and immersive. Likey. I can see areas where the light is not as completely considered, but you do have the sunlight shafts in front of your highest peak... I feel like there would be a highlight coming down from the centre of the clouds one third in along your top edge. It's wonderful that all your pteros are in different poses. Ha ha, almost wrote posses.

Hey thanks for the detailed comment =] I see what you mean about the light. I did want to keep things a bit more subtle and in shadow, but maybe I should have paid a bit more attention to the highlights there, that's true. This is definitely a piece that was abandoned rather than finished

This is nice. For me I always like the small detials, and I think the birds in here actually give this painting that something "extra special" in my opinion. Overall, a breathtaking painting nonetheless.
