I've come to a decision
They are Girlfriendssss

And I've come up with a smallish backstory for them so far:
Lisbet (left) is from a noblish family, as suggested with her very fancy outfit from her original pic, Shes probably like third cousin to royalty. Laika is from a clan of northern ppl above where Lisbet lives, and they are like baddies up there, so Laika was hired to protect Lisbet by lisbet's aunt. Over time Lisbet realizes how gay she is when looking at strong bad ass woman much like how gay Widowmaker makes ppl. Laika is like a beautiful goddess to her and she tries to get closer and closer to her as time goes on (this is maybe a span of half a year?). Laika is kind of dense to romance, so doesnt catch on, but when she does she starts catching the feels too. Eventually they start dating and spending every day hanging out instead of Laika just simply guarding her.
Now Laika will curve stop any bitch wanted to her Lisbet, so her guard is always up, and it comes between her life and Lis's, she'll take the fall. Lisbet's one goal is to relax Laika from this duty and make her more independent.

Has one of those cute fluffy little white dogs and a white ferret. Has the voice of an angel, can sing a bit. Also loves to dance, almost like a side to side swingy type dance. A lot of guys want to marry her, but she is very defiant to this because 1 Laika and 2 ew boys. Also her dad won't do that to her because he knows and supports their secret romance. One time Lisbet was eating something at some banquet and dropped it on her gorgeous white gown and continued to sob, any one who tried to make fun of her got a death glare from Laika. She also has an annoying little cousin because him and her aunt live with her. He tries to ruin her all the time, if he found out about Laika it would be all over. Laika will beat him to death if he tried anything.

facts: Laika is from a Clan of elves in Benolda. The Clan is very skill and strength oriented. Laika was chosen to guard Lisbet by Lis's aunt because she thought she was so beautiful. In her clan, Laika is considered very pretty, but also they live by a very strict code of marriage and romance. So its work first, marriage last. So flirting isn't really a thing. They also arent supposed to have any kids or do stuff romantically until their high priest unites them legally. Obviously Laika threw that out the window because Lisbet lmao. If her ppl found out she would defiantly be stripped of her honor and relation to the clan. That would basically mean death to Laika. So she has to keep up the best friend and guard facade.
Laika only has two fears that no one knows about, that is crabs and snakes for some reason. They don't live on the coast so crabs arent that big of an issue, but she probably screams and run if either ran close to her. Still no one knows... Laika also really like honey things and bees. They are very pretty. She's also an expert swordsmen as its her familial weapon in the Clan.
