Monthly birthstone print. I didn't offer the smaller sizes because at 9x12 you get pretty close to the size of the originals, which is nice, and they also look good printed larger.See the original submissions here: [link]
I didn't paint them in the right order and hadn't planned to do all of them when I started. Most of the months have multiple stones but I tried to pick what was used most commonly or would make a better painting. (For example Diamond and Zircon for Dec would both be clear/white). Yes for Dec there's Blue Topaz, Zircon, Turquoise, and Tanzanite. I picked one.

isn't november supposed to be Citrine? Thats what my brother's Birthstone is and he is a November Baby >.>...just a friendly notice to a mistake, please don't take offense.

NP. There traditional birthstones and then are modern birthstones. The jewelry companies have changed them depending on which easier to get or the cost, and Nov I think was changed recently. A lot of the stones used to be different until marketers decided they should all be clear stones.

I did them all over a 1 year (about 1 a month) and they are all very small, so probably a day each. I tried to pick different styles for them (although a lot are similar and none of this is completely accurate historically) January - kind of 1910-20s style, Feb - Art Nouveau, March - Art Nouveau/Neo-Classical, April - Renaissance, May - Medieval/Pre-Raphaelite, June - ?, July - 18th century French, August - Mucha/Art Nouveau, Sept - Renaissance,16th cen, Oct - ? made up, Nov - Persian/Indian, Dec - Medieval fantasy

Haha. Yeah. The only reason I know is because I'm november...But Citrine is pretty much the same color as Yellow Topaz, just not as grungy looking...it's shiny!!!

My Mother was born in december, her gemstone is turquoise
My Dad is aquamarine
My Sister was born in september, so shes sapphire
My brother Is a summer baby, his is ruby
I was born in the middle of winter, sixteen days after the new year, My gem is garnet
It's odd, my gemstone is the only one that doesn't quite fit in with the season its from :S
The woman for december has a similarity to the Queen of Narnia, with the crown of ice and that, I like it.
