Great work! I love the green beads and the silver elements. It's a strange combination, yet it looks reeeeeaaaaly nice. ^^

Woo, I feel all special that you posted this one just for me. Love what you did with this necklace, especially the pairing of pearls with wood. Very nice work!

thanks indeed! i love mixing materials that are very valuable with those that aren't at all! at the same time, those wood beads were cheap, but i challenge you to find them! and match them as well as i did with the rest of the elements of the necklace! so, one asks oneself, why couldn't i make a successful business out of it??? reason is, no one is willing to pay enough for cool artisan jewelry to even pay for the materials if you use really nifty stuff. i was losing money for a long time, but i was still collecting beads and making jewelry, just for the fun of it! i'm the world's worst business woman! i could hardly stand to charge anyone remotely nice full price! lol!

I'm right there with you! I've long since given up trying to be my own businesswoman. I'm much happier managing other artists and letting someone else deal with selling my work. Have you thought of consigning your jewelry instead?

I suck at the in between part, too. At least when it comes to my own merchandise. You can often find jewelry and art consigners in most metro areas. They take a cut of the profit, usually about 25% of the selling price, but they're more motivated to move your merchandise since they get something out of it.
