Merton--
Well, well done, my friend. Great concept, great colors, great composition - perfection personified! On an scale of "One-to-ten", an easy "25"! Thanks for the inspiration.

Ty so much, dear Jade. I am so glad you like it! As for the question of doing well, it has been the year of constant change, with a new example of that in the last week (had to get a new vehicle and it was quite an experience). But I am hanging in there, trying to swim in the rapids, and discern what I am supposed to be learning from it all.

I agree... the lessons are not always obvious at the time. Later, often, the lesson appears.

I am so glad you like this. I photographed it and in so doing, rather washed out the sky. The work, if you see it with the naked eye actually has a darker, richer sky. It is on my piano now, with a light on it, and looks neat. I really had fun making this. I recently heard American radio show host and author Garrison Keillor do a musical version of the Owl and the Pussycat which was very neat.

Soon I will post my illustration of a favorite childhood poem, "Yet Gentle the Griffin be," in a similar style. I just finished that one. I am thinking of doing an illustration of Puff the Magic Dragon, which I used to sing and play on my guitar when I was a kid. I seem to have a little series going here based on things from my childhood. I wonder what my Muse is up to. It speaks and I follow!

...you also play music.. The world of art is truly infinite... music,, illustrations, writing, dancing... echoes of art.
Puff the magic dragon..nice song. for sure it'll turn out to be a pretty interesting and attractive piece.
Keep on following your muse.. as then for after I will keep listening all you share.

I think I am happiest making artwork, but I do love to write and play/sing music, too. I have started working on the Puff the Magic Dragon illustration. I think it will turn out neat. Just taking shape, right now. I am trying to put various elements of the song lyrics in the piece, which is fun.

Sometimes yes... all seems to flow... other times, nothing is flowing. This year has been like that for me. So, I keep tweaking the schedule and saying my little prayers, hoping to get to that sweet spot, where everything flows. Maybe that sweet spot is just a figment of our imagination, something to aspire and hope for. (I keep trying!) Wink.
