It's been a while since I've painted a landscape based on a photo, and while this one doesn't match the original reference very well, it's still quite pretty based on the reactions of three of my friends who've seen it, so I've decided to post it 😅One remarked that it did a nice job of capturing "that vibrant last hurrah right before everything goes dark and quiet." Hence, the title of this piece.
