I've been working on mine for about 5 years or so, and I'm 17. Like I've said you do an amazing job and I'd love to see some WIP pictures and more details on how you made it. Also Chaos for the WIN! lol

what hand did you use with the helmet?
i cant seem to recognize it as the extra arm from the Champion blister...but im not sure.
One thing you could've tried is to point the head either towards the helmet (kind of like looking at the trophy) or towards the blade (the "im looking in the distance" kind of way).If its your first models, try to really imagine them moving on the 'field so you can give them all much more character when you build them.It helped me a lot when i was building my chaos and renegade armies (the orks not so much though, the models aren't as posable is CSM or IG parts)

I must say that the head position is really effective from this angle, though.
When it looks right at you like that you kind of get the feeling of a religious icon.

Hey there. the hand is actually from the regular "chaos space marine lord" kit, but I modified it with a storm bolter from a vindicator and added something from a kroot belt (probably grenades or something) to look like the cartridge coming out of the bolter.
Most of the body is from the same chaos lord kit, but the left arm is a regular space marine power sword. The helmet and iron halo are also from space marines. The meat on the hook on his belt is kroot. He also has a dark elves (yes, fantasy hehe) shield on his back, but you can only see a bit of it. Skull is from a necklace and wings are from an antique shop (in Zimbabwe, Africa, pretty crazy finding something like that there!)
The helmet was a bit of a nuisance because the original head was weirdly shaped, so the indentation was more oval-shaped than round, so I had to sand this helmet down to fit, and I didn't realize it would be staring straight forward haha! it's something a lot of my friends have pointed out too.
Really, it's more of a decorational piece rather than a functional one, sadly. I can't throw this guy into battle because he's got too many extra pieces of gear (can't use WYSIWYG )
Thank you so much for the constructive feedback!!!! I really appreciate it!

or you could even just count it all as a Tzeentch Daemon weapon. DWs take 2 hands and if I'm not wrong, the Tzeentch Daemon weapon grants ranged attacks?

good example too yeah,as long you can "explain" what is what and why,you can get away with it.
just also try to match it your play style over your friend's opinion, cause there's no point in ruining your own pleasure over someone else's bitch-fit

kick them in the teeth XD
no really,as long as you can find a points cost to each item, and its not contradictory rule-wise,you can run him.
if they still insist, just take the rule book out,and read word-for-word the rules out.If its in the book, you can do it.simple as that
