Made with UF, except for title and signature I thought about adding this to the Masking challenge fav.me/d7kkji7 , but my masking is only used in the gems and the textures in the flowers. I am trying to think of something where I can use of the masking techniques that Velvet--Glove uses in this tutorial . If you are a UF users and have a hard time with masks, then I highly suggest this. I am excited to see all the beautiful gems and masking projects you come up for this challenge in June! Can you believe it is already June? So what is everyone's plan this summer? Thank you for all the comments and favs!

Brilliant. I'm attempting something for the masking challenge, and I seriously mean attempting. As you know my masking skills are still in the early stages and I'm using Velvet-Groves tut myself as a starter point

No it didn't come out wrong. You have more confidence in me than I do is what I meant . Your help is always welcome but I would never ask for a contest, need to figure things out by myself for some things

I hear you. I can always give advice. Study parameters also. Always help me. Masks are hard, but once you figure them out, not as bad, and a very good tool! I always mask the opposite of what I want masked.

I thought about it, but I think it's a little chaotic, plus for the gems, I wanted to do "not flowers".

I can totally understand the 'not flowers' thinking, it is just so easy to give in and produce one floral piece after another.....I probably underuse orbit traps precisely because I like them so much.

But, but, but orbit traps are so much FUN!!!! Sometimes when I am trying to figure something out, like how to make a cool background, I throw flowers in there. I don't do so many flowers as much lately, but they sure are loved on dA, ever notice that?

This simply shouts "spring" out loud in all directions - what an amazing fractal! I just started using Mandelbulb 3D myself...still learning the basics right now. Very nicely done!

Thank you, but it is very chaotic. I hadn't uploaded it for a reason, but I like the gems. Sometimes I like trying new things for backgrounds, sometimes I work on gems, sometimes flowers, and sometimes I work on everything all at once. This is one of those times.
