I will restate what I saw someone else say here. Before looking at this in full view, I thought you had somehow masterfully merged two paintings or used photoshop or something here. I am in awe of this. Its classical subject is given new life by the gorgeous backdrop here. It really make the image of Bacchus seem to pop off the page. It is really beautiful work, Cecil.

James, thank you very much. I don't quite understand the "fusion on two images". It is just a straight oil painting on canvass, but thanks again for the compliment.

I had to stare at this for several moments.
At first glance I thought it was a mash up of two photos from two different paintings but to my surprise it seems to be just one.
It is Amazing!
I do not know how you do it but it is simply amazing!

But your work is fully traditional, you actually mix the colors yourself and set the right mood for each one. That has way more merit than coloring by clicking around.
