Description I thought I heard your voice

Constructive Criticism greatly appreciated ^u^

An experimental piece with shading and facial expressions.
First time drawing completely in Photoshop...it was kinda troublesome, haha

I think you nailed the facial expression. It looks really emotional, and the tears are a beautiful touch there. I'm not exactly an expert on lighting and tones and such, but everything looks great to me! owo

Thanks!
The main focus of this piece (or at least I intended it to be) was the facial expression. I'm glad you think so!

Very, very nice. The way you do the hair is great, the texture is amazing, and the shading of the skin is nice and smooth. I love the beautiful use of lighting in this, as well. It's very well-executed and dramatic.

I don't really have critique for this, other than that I think that the nose looks a bit too high-up and short, but it doesn't really detract from this, and it may just be a stylistic choice.

I think I'm going to try making my stuff in this coloring style. It's really nice, and my current coloring style doesn't really work now that I have a tablet.

Thankyou! >//<
I personally thought the hair looked a bit too plastic-looking, but I'm glad you like it.
And the nose thing is...I guess a habit of mine.
I should work more on facial anatomy

It's actually a pretty convenient way to shade, and the results turn out pretty nicely, so I personally recommend this shading method.
You start out with cell shading and then kind of blur it out : )
