I feel like a little contrast to boost the light side of the spectrum would've helped the impact, but otherwise it's quite good.. really digging the colours

Still trying to figure out what you mean. Perhaps that the central details are not pronounced enough?

talking mostly about the grayed out borders all around the image. at the very center they're white, but extending the range of that bright spot to perhaps all of the central circle might help with impact.
