Finally! Got a kick-ass camera ta do th' job! SO FULLVIEW ALL TEH WAY!!!I did this back before the New Year in Sculpture for Animation, and I wanted SO badly to show this off (especially to *Sandy87 if she ever gets the chance), but my home camera's too crappy for the likes of this. I was able to borrow a high-quality digital camera from the Cage, thanks to Ms. Schaffer's help. Thanks, Amanda!
This is my pride and joy, guys: sculpture of an existing character for second project. We actually had to TRADE our model sketches with other students for this. Waah! I wanted to do my Beach Bum Jak I did T_T The kid that got my sketch for it... I didn't dare wanted to look at it, I thought it was so... (I think I'm gonna tear up again
) Lame! I swear, when I get some free time with sculpting again, I'm going to re-sculpt Jak with MY OWN hands instead!Anyway, I was able to weasel in to one of the students (who didn't had a model sketch ready at that time) to get me some refs for making Ratchet; I know >_< it was selfish of me to do that, but I WANTED to do Jak in the first place, but instead, I was given the opportunity to do Ratchet, so there
Made with tie wires and some kind of sculpting material that consists of... *shudder* petroleum XP Don't play with this unless you have a well-ventilated room and a good wash station, folks; it ain't pretty.

Congrats. Suclting things is hardwork, but s totally awesome! I tried to buy a beautiful Daxter sculture I came across someday, and they refused me! So, I though about trying something big. I just have to move myself... I'm lazily stuck at my usual stuff. But going for hand-sewn and sculpted things is the next thing for me

Ah, my uber neologic vocab didn't stunned you? Powerful! You got that "Sculting" = Sculpting! I agree the 3D life can be hard, but it may be worthy and may give you wonders of leveling up on the plain lineart department! I have that grey polymer clay to use. It hard but melt over heat and get hard again, once it cools off. At leat, is smells pretty nice

Sometimes the talents people have is not usally in what they like to do. For example, my little sister draws really well but she hates drawing, she could also sing well too but thinks singing is boring.

That is called and 'armature' I think. Help's keep the figure stable and erect upwards. It's been eons since I sculpted (so I've forgotten the jargon associated with the trade), but I'm not into sculpting that much, unlike my weird mother, *MamaLucia

That's frickin sweet! This reminds me..those Ratchet and Clank figs will be out soon. I need to go buy them.
But one thing they lack that this sculpt has is a credible and characterized grimace that best fits Ratchet or a lombax in general. You captured it perfectly. The proportions seem about right too..though some of the anatomy for a lombax is a bit off.
Still all-in-all I'm impressed. :-D I'll have to use this a ref when I modify some of the figures that are coming out into OCs.

There's always room to experiment. ;-D I always have a mad posh for delving into new territories and working wit hdifferent mediums. After all; I have worked in cosplay and almost succeeded in making armor.
