Gyaaah...

I should probably first point out that I loath Leia's "metal bikini" for many and varied reasons. When I first pondered the idea of doing Leia I wanted to do her iconic first movies white cloak and earmuff look, but it would have been white on white, and no amount of puzzling could get me around the fact that she would utterly wash out against the background. (I'm going to have similar problems with Ventress, I know it... ).

Her second movie ensembles were either more white on white or just not very memorable; in point of fact her metal bikini is her second most iconic outfit, and when the idea of her leaning over the turrets of the sand speeder guns got stuck in my head, I was forced to capitulate. Sigh. It was a struggle to figure out how to do her outfit in the simple style and make it, er, tasteful. I don't think I achieved it completely, but at least I'm not staring at her, uh, assets.

I think Mr. Lucas has a forehead fetish (on top of black leather and lots of skin...). None of the girls I've been drawing has even HAIR let alone bangs, and it's becoming a challenge to draw them all with such similar facial structures and still make them look unique.

Leia probably has the most attitude of all the ones I've done, and that includes Ahsoka who is the standard for this series I have yet to relive. She really looks like she's gong to hit you if you disagree with her.

Anyway, I'm my own worst critic. Let me know what you think.
