I'm entering the "Dream Job" contest on Episode Interactive! This is my main character Claire, her family, and a new friend. The contest deadline is June, so this will be a story of mine that you all actually get to read this century.

Claire is a nonspeaking autistic senior in high school. Her favorite activities include writing, calling Pop by the wrong name, telling people they smell bad, and putting together purple outfits that are not constrained by the laws of fashion. Dad and Pop adopted her when she was a kid. She used to have very bad PTSD due to a difficult childhood, but has gotten somewhat better.

Her hair is actually black; it's just that dark gray works better with this style.

Dad is very patient, very loving, and a little protective. He is a stay-at-home dad. He cannot get gray hairs from Claire's behavior because he has no hair.

Pop has majestic eyebrows and a ridiculous sense of humor. He wanted to be a magician when he was a boy. Instead, he pulls all sorts of random objects from behind Claire's ears and out of her pockets (regardless of whether her outfit has any).

Glitter (or that's what she tells people her name is) is a little girl Claire meets in the story. She likes art, sparkly things, and just about everybody. You are her new best friend and will be subject to an endless stream of questions.
