Description Nice lunar eclipse we had the other day! The rain and clouds cleared up enough for me to take a bunch of shots - and this one was one of the better ones. Taken around midnight, pacific time.

Tripod and 300mm zoom lens used.
I really like how the stars showed up too!
Nothing edited except for a little sharpening. The white edge of the moon looks a little overexposed though - it looked bluish gray to me in my Nikon 10x42 binoculars in comparison.

wow, what sort of camera you need to have in order to take this such high quality photo!

I used a Canon EOS Rebel and a large 300mm telephoto lens on a tripod. It helps to be around no streetlights too!

Wow! Awesome! Great shot. I want to see one of those someday. Lunar ecplises in comparison happen at night and last for a few hours. They can also be seen in many more areas because the earth's shadow is much less precise than a solar eclipse. Jealous you got to see one!

This is so awesome!!! I was outside when i saw this, and I tried to take a picture, but it wouldn't zoom that much :[ It looked so tiny

Ah wrong deviation. XD Yea I had to use a tripod to steady the camera, and a large zoom lens.

i wouldn't know, my sleeping pattern has been so messed up i crashed around 8pm. plus it was apparently really cloudy here
