I just really like Undyne okay
As usual, I am very late to the party (by which I mean the party is already over and I'm wandering through a wasteland of deflated balloons and people passed out on the floor), but I have fallen into Undertale hell. And it's rapidly consuming my soul.
Who am I kidding, it's already consumed my soul. I can't do anything else. There is nothing else. There is only Undertale.

I'm sad to say I'm not that taken with Undertale. Oh well, my loss. I know of some of its characters from watching some youtubers play it though. Papyrus and Comic Sans are fun guys.

This looks quite nice. I really like the hair in this drawing, especially the wispy strands of orange thread. I think you've don't marvellously with the human proportions, Riv. The eyes, mouth, forehead, neck, nose(hehe), and limbs all look like there in the right proportions. The only negative thing about this drawing I can find is the background. It's fine but it's a little underwhelming.
If you still feel unsure about your skill with drawing humanoids, Practice some more. I garentee, with a few uploads, you'll be a pro at it.

Alas. Have you played it? I didn't think I would be so taken with it, and yet... But I have no one to talk to about it. T_T I'll just be over here in my corner obsessing quietly.

I didn't exactly put any time into the background. It was just meant to be non-existent. A backdrop. All I wanted was to paint Undyne.
I will practice. Undertale will force me to. I'm just afraid that people will critique my shit to the point where I lose all confidence again and delete the pictures (like what happened that other time...). I am weak.

No I haven't played it. I don't think I have anything to play it on either. Maybe I could watch a Youtuber play it again, that might make me a suitable substitute for you to come out of your corner and start speaking to me in Undertale tongues.

It's just a PC game, and a very lightweight one at that. It even runs on my useless netbook. So as long as you've got a functional computer (laptop or otherwise), you should be able to play it.

See, I know that most people mean well when they critique. I know that. But I can't connect my emotions with that knowledge. I still feel like a failure when people poke holes in my work.
It is dead. It will never be seen by the public eye again. Looking at it just makes me mad.

Understandable. It sounds like you are more like a helium ballon then. The more praise you get(i.e. Helium) the higher you reach and the bigger loads you can lift, but only helium can do that safely. I'm bad at analogies, sorry.

basically the best way to know and understand this game is look some playtrough *cof*markiplier*cof* and/or play the game.
but basically it's a classic rpg but with two fonction: one to spare the monster the other one to kill them.
