Your use of colors, as always, is extremely excellent, well-thought out. I'm just wondering, how many 'drafts' do you have to do before you get the final project?

Whatever your process is, it's still very 'magical'..

MJWilliam In reply to orb-gettarr [2009-09-17 16:10:52 +0000 UTC]

Thanks! I usually have the whole thing in my head before I sketch, so I don't do lots of drafts. I do the sketch on tracing paper because I don't want to use the eraser on the actual paper too much, and because it's easier to transfer later on. Once I have the sketch exactly as I want it I transfer it to the actual paper by rubbing over the pencil lines.

Amazing I was really hoping you would draw the jeweler (voted for it. I really love how you decided to represent it, this series is my absolute favoriteAre you planning to draw all the artisans you mentioned in your poll?
I saw you used Bristol for it, i thought the watercolour wouldn't work at all with it, but i see i was wrong!I still haven't dare to try coloured pencils on it to be true.
Thanks also for posting the wip, I'm always especially curious on how your work, as your style rather uniqueThe way you use colours is the way i prefer, so vivid and bold, a joy for my eyes

MJWilliam In reply to Giada-C [2009-07-19 21:03:31 +0000 UTC]

Thank you Giada! I will most definitely do all of those on the list in the exact order of the poll. Don't know how long it'll take me to do them all, but that's the plan.
