One of my fav places in the entire world! So desolate and removed from the everyday world when I was there in the middle 70's.
I still want to visit there again and wander back to 29 Palms and climb the small mountain range past the town again for some new images to see how much the town has changed(while I can still climb!)

yes, you're so right! we came along in the late afternoon, 116 degrees, too tired to do anything. But as the sun sets, we must have to do this shooting! It was great and afterwards the full moon was rising and in the night the coyotes were howling - just like in a movie
