Description
The 6 main characters for the short comic I'm working on. This is mostly a reference image for me for character details and relative sizes, it probably won't be very definitive when it comes to color (the story will probably be B/W).Drawing barbarians is fun. I first started kicking around versions of these guys about 5 years ago, so it's been a cool challenge to redraw them more interestingly this time around.
Sadly, once again I fell into the muddy brown trap. Boo. Worst colorist.

The woman with the fur cape... does she have owl-like hair or is it a hood or headdress? I like the dynamic poses.

It's kind of a headdress. It'll be more apparent once she gets a closeup in the next page of the actual comic (even though the big cape itself didn't make the cut...can't imagine THAT being comfortable in the jungle heat).

I definitely wouldn't rule out at least one of them on that front.
Title's more of a Bowie riff than a Fine Young Cannibals one, though. "Young Americans" and all that. I halfway want to rewrite the song with lyrics to match, but then I remember that a)I'm not the writer on this project, and b) that's such a stupid, stupid idea.
