Description I shot this as I was walking through the Biltmore Plaza in Phoenix.

The light was blasting through the misters and it gave off a ghostly vibe...just had to shoot it.

The light is amazing!
A little hazy in places but not much you could do about that. Besides, what do I know about photography?

Amazing lighting effect you have captured here, and it is very clear my you shot it at first glance.

The aura it gives off is beautiful, and the feeling it has inside of it is amazing. If you focus closely on the beaming light, it almost appears angelic in shape and substance...brilliant I must say.

Excellent shot, mate

reminds me of the movie - gremlins .. at least i think that's what it was called. you know .. the movie with that GIZMO character in it .. and they put the main leader into this plant place .. and they waited for the sun to peak through all the windows to kill 'em. (whoops! hope i didn't spoil the movie!)

impressive shot.

Just beautiful. I want to go into the forest like 5am in the morning as the mist is rising with the sun and capture something like this. Hows the setup going? Purchase anything yet?

mooboy In reply to xenologics [2003-11-04 05:38:55 +0000 UTC]

I am wanting to do the same. We are headed up to Prescot in a month for weekend in the mountains and woods. Plenty of mist up there. Should get a few good shots.

The set up is going ok. Mainly with the screen and set up. I still need the lights. For the screen, I am using a light absorbant white paper...I also bought some black

I just have my puny digital camera though...it's a pretty good one, but still, by your standards, or anyone elses', it's puny. Canon Powershot A70. Other than that, I have a few Minoltas...old school and modern.

xenologics In reply to mooboy [2003-11-04 05:54:04 +0000 UTC]

Nice, how much did the paper cost? Is it just construction paper on a roll? I really need some more colors heh. I find white the most versatile because you can digital enhance colors pretty easily as you might have seen with my latest entry s.k.4 .

just remember if you want pure white, crank up the iso.

mooboy In reply to xenologics [2003-11-04 06:48:44 +0000 UTC]

They sell it in most camera shops...serious camera shops. I just bought 2 small rolls @ $10 each. Was on clearance

I can look into this for you. If you don't have this in your area, I can send some. Pretty nifty stuff.

Thanks for the inspiration man...I mean it!

xenologics In reply to mooboy [2003-11-04 07:49:13 +0000 UTC]

Oh wow really cheap. I would definitely be interested but i think the shipping would cost more than the actual product lol. Ill have to find a store near here. All I have around this area are c or b class shops very pitiful shop =/

What is the paper made out of? What is the texture, how does it feel? What are the dimensions?

The lighting... and the ceiling... And very surreal looking shadow on the ground...
What makes this image more mystical is... there isn't a single soul captured in the picture... As if you are looking into a different world... just watch with silence in awe...
