For lack of a better title.To break out of my artist funk I drew this guy... no physical features or anything, just a soldier... he had a weapon but it didn't fit him.
He's a desert dweller... im trying to think of what kind of weapon a soldier in the desert would need... Bow and arrow? maybe a sword but I really couldnt see why one would fight with a sword in a place where you could kick up sand. Tell me I'm wrong.

Your talent of expressing movements is pretty good, I would suggest you work on drawing sophisticated movements on different characters. I really enjoyed the this one, and the hat just seems fine to me, it gives a "mad max" type of mood...

yeeeahhh i know, i didnt know what else to do with it... I also didnt want to do the normal anime hair or whatnot. Any suggestions?
