Description
When: February 22, 2018
Where: Dierenrijk Nuenen, The Netherlands
We always considered this Arctic Fox to be a female; she's a stunning and adorable individual and we've been emjoying her sweet looks for years. Here, she'd just come pretty close (they actually can come really close) to drink from the pond. There's still droplets on her nose, and it's the cutest thing
She's getting older, walking with difficulty but she's still doing her best to follow the other two. It's not fast or easy, but she still gets around.
Species: Arctic or Polar Fox (Poolvos)
Latin name: Vulpes Lagopus
Originates from the Northern Hemisphere.
Current status: Least Concern
Did you know:
…Arctic Foxes shed their white fur in Summertime, for a shorter, grey or brown fur coat.
…Their body is generally of a round shape, as to minimize the escape of body heat.
