You're right, the colors are vivid! As ~Momokuren says, the speckles are indeed striking--they really make the fish stand out.
I love the warm colors; they make the whole card seem so cheerful.

Yes! Year-end craze is over!

(Now I have to try and catch up at work... which involves somehow getting my mind focussed on it again... )

Even though I haven't been commenting (much) on the cards, I have been watching them appear--they're all awesome! (and still in my inbox--so I'm planning on doing lots more commenting! )

When i laid eyes upon this as a thumbnail in deviations by those i watch, i marveled at the beauty, and didn't realize at first that it was my 'S' haiku. Then when i 'full view'd it, i was... the way i still am right now...

numb - and awed. i can't begin to tell you what a wonderful job you've done. The elequent designs (love them!), with the lovely side panel color, and the fonts, and that sweet trout with its eye looking up!

And as for waiting? ... it was worth every single day of waiting... and longer if it needed to be. The results are beyond my wildest hopes.

i will cherish this moment. Since first i entered the Haikuwrimo '07 challenge, my life started to change, and continues to do so... and now this. To you, my most grateful & humble thanks.

i just noticed: there are so many 'S's in this card set. your haiku alone has 7, the picture panel is capitaled 'S', my logo is 4s's and the composition of the picture is overall curled in an S shape.
i'm really glad you like this so much. your happiness made my day!

This is definitely one of the very best of your cards. The speckles are striking! It looks like there are roses above.

i too thought of roses. large yellow cabbage roses when first i saw the thumbnail. i absolutely love how some of us see it that way at first - it makes the scene even more magical!

This is beautiful, I happen to know the haijin, and the rich imagery, combined with the playful sense of nature fits her perfectly.

I absolutely love the colors.... Very real to me, I remember when I was a child standing in a trout stream in Arkansas, one which they factory red the fish - a catch every cast! This brings it back, the way the trout looked looking up at me as I stood there.
