against the mountain a pavilion was built that oversees the plain,
toward the end of the night, the qido constellations hang on the eave.
i come to this famous place by mere coincidence.
the old pine stands strong for hundreds of year,
spared by the axe, it towers toward the heavens.

the translation is very rough, so pardon me for any mistakes.

song feng ge is a very popular calligraphy script that learners often copy to get used to the strokes and mastery of the brush.

i did this in my high school years.

at the moment i am still struggling with qian zi wen which is a caoshu (草书，cursive) script. i have not much progress with that yet. i hope i can show you in the near future what i have written.
