Very interesting work. Rough and free brush strokes with a very detailes portrait makes a good combination. Love it!

ThanX sooo much! ThanX also for taking the time to look at my Art! If you read what I wrote about it, you will know that I saw Sir Ian Mc Kellan in the play, and was moved to paint this! I sent him a photo of it and he wrote back saying wow much he admired it and would treasure the photo! cheers!

Thank You, kind Becky! It was acrylic paint on one of those lovely oval canvasses! I was quite pleased with the result, although the original is so much better than the image on DA! I plan to send the actors copies of the paintings, just for their own interest! I've just seen your latest offering and will comment! Thanks for the mutual support, as usual! Cheers!

Wow, you should definitely do that, I'm sure they'd be impressed! Please let me know if you do this and if you hear back from them, that would be wonderful!
The acrylics look really effective, in fact my grandad just gave me a new pack of acrylics and I really need to have a go with them because I haven't used them for over a year and I'm so out of practice! You're welcome as always!

Thanks for your kind words and interest! I'm going to post them to the theatre in the West End where the play has moved to! I'll let you know what the outcome is! The main problem Artists new to acrylics is that most people use them too thick and don't dilute them with water enough! They also dry VERY rapidly, so you need to work FAST! Good luck with them if you do get the opportunity to experiment! Cheers, Becky!

Ohh wow good idea! I really really hope the actor's get to see them then 'cause I think they'd be really impressed!
Ahh thank you for the tip, I will definitely remember that!
