"To be Honest you two may never work in the field again, but I can only advise your Chief on what is best for his employees.
Ultimately it is his decision whether your still qualified to work the in field with only one arm.
When you leave please head straight home and get some rest."
"Speaking of, you two might need to think about your current living arrangements.
Since both of you live alone, I would suggest moving in together to help each other out.
It's easier to help some one you care about when you have also experienced the same pain as they have.

The plushies have been evicted from Judy's bed for now. Perhaps she wants to make room for a larger, cuddlier plush fox. In addition to the fox there is a Jack Savage plushy, cute.
