What a cool close-up of the web spider! At least it is harmless and you do not have to worry about having to contain it like you did with Miss Widow. I hope you will get to observe it weave a nice-looking web!

what's it doing not in a web? (that was my first thought) I have never seen one of them not is a web, I guess, they make a really nice huge web. I have always been terrified they would build a web across the pathway and I would walk into it in the night. Beautiful spider, though, from a distance. nice that they are big enough to see well from a distance.

Yeah, I always used to think that if I ran into a web one would bite me(I used to think they were poisonous) and then I'd die. Now I know that they're big, but harmless.
