Description In my art class we had to build up a portfolio, or a reoccurring theme in out art. Being the all-knowing philosopher that I am, I chose to do social commentary. These little beauties are scratchboard. Basically, you get a black coated piece of paper and scratch off any and everything you would like to be white. The one to your left is a monster personifying everything I consider corrupted called Crackerjack Charlie. Why call him Crackerjack Charlie? Because its a funny name. Now then, the one to your right I'm sure you can decipher all by yourself. But it is a keen example of why you don't put the most important part of the pic in the center. Every art teacher will tell you that having the most important subject in the center detracts from everything around it, causing a quick glance from people. Solution, place it off-center! Another helpful art tip that I should be getting paid for.
