Description
The view looking east across the Menai Straight, on a falling tide, from Mor a Mynydd on Anglesey Island.
Earlier a single Buzzard was flapping over the Menai Straight at low tide, heading into the trees on the western shore on Anglesey. A warm sunny evening after a day of warm cloudy sunshine.
The main attraction of a stay at this holiday apartment is the view across the Menai Strait to mainland Wales and Snowdonia National Park. It is an ever changing panoramic scene of water, mountains and weather. The mountains change appearance according to the weather, as does the Menai Strait with the added cycle of tides coming and going. Terns patrol up and down the straits on fishing expeditions, gulls commute backwards and forwards, and there is the traffic of small boats and yachts to observe navigating the challenging straits between Anglesey and Gwynedd.
Mor a Mynydd is a renovated Victorian Manor House (1899) located on Anglesey between Menai Bridge and Beaumaris:

This was an early start to the day for me, taking the 8 am Ullyses Ferry from Dublin Port to Hollyhead. The day saw warm cloudy sunshine with hordes of Small Tortoiseshell Butterflies everywhere around Anglesey. They repeatedly flew into the apartment via the open windows.
