Maybe you should take his words into consideration. A deep, intelligent writer, who just "happens" to be a racist "jerkass".
I'm sorry, but it's not black and white, not pushing you for anything, and I just don't think you should treat everybody like air if they happen to be 'racists'.
If he didn't write, what would he be then...

I'm a fan of Lovecraft's. But I'm not going to deny what he is though. He made good stories, but he also said a lot of racist things. But I realize that he was born in the 1890s and died in the 1930s, so his views are different than ours. That is what I was saying. And I know it's not black and white

It's okay. Sorry if my comment was a little weird, I don't remember. 
I don't think you have to think with your "anti-racist" brain, just use your normal brain, observe real life, read, then it's not racist, then it's just what it is..
