Since nobody asked, I drew up Panel's Backstory.ΒThis not MY life, though the themes are similar in some ways. I've never been able to talk about my feelings of inadequacy, Panel works as my stand in for these feelings. It's hard to get anything done when you beat yourself up for lost time and generally feeling like a waste of space, I wanted to tackle that feeling.
Under that thin facade of the silly goof, Panel is a broken dude...

I identify myself with this feelings and even with Panel's backstory. It's even harder when you can't tell anyone about it. This is... cruel I suppose. But what can we do except keeping living? Somehow.

My Dad always taught me during my college days that once you fail a class, it just meant you failed a class and nothing more.
I've always had a fear of failure and it made me quite stressful during those days. Knowing that my Dad wasn't disappointed in me really helped me not be disappointed in myself. The last time I failed a course, it didn'tΒ bother me as much because of it.
I know the feeling. I can see Panel with a happy ending.

Take it from me, I know the feeling of being a waste of space and that you're wasting your time doing things when you could be doing something else. Β When you could be doing something else with your life but theres that drive do keep doing what you've always been doing. Β But you just have to keep going on with what you're doing, then you might find that have lived your life. Β

Though this may not portray your real life, I still feel like you're telling a story you know all too well. Feeling you (or Panel) aren't good enough, or have let people down. And in a sense it's comforting, to know other people feel this way. And maybe even a bit heartbreaking that talented artist such as yourself are feeling this way. Even if you aren't it's comforting to see you show that you at least know how it feels rather than anything else. I truly hope this isn't what you're going through, and if you are, know that there are hundreds of fans out there ready to help you in anyway they can, including myself. So don't doubt yourself, ok? *hugs*

I'm sorry.
It can be depressing when you work so hard, and you get very little in return.
To come back home after that is hard.
I like the way the colours in the background become bleached over time.
I didn't notice it at first, but the rosy pink transitions to a dark plum colour fairly early on.
I also like that the pencil has colour in the last two panels while everything else is dark.
It gives a lot of power to the *snap* at the end.

Ah, I understand. I often write sad poems/fiction and pics to express a sad emotion just for the sake of expressing it.
Often I take that emotion and emphathise with it and all the people associated with it. Needless to say, I understand this! Again, well done!
