I suffered the same fear as Frisk when I was really young.
No matter how weird or cartoony the character was, I'd always be scared of skeletons. No matter what. I always found them really terrifying.
So if I fell underground if i was maybe like, 6,
then I was be really terrified of sans and papyrus
