Not sure of the precise amount of time but it would certainly have been a few hours, perhaps in the region of 4 or 5?

Thanks very much, I use two different types. The Wacom Bamboo stylus and the Pogo Connect, even with the pressure sensitivity I still love using the Wacom.

How many layers did you use for this?

Mull-Art In reply to Euansmith [2011-06-21 17:20:31 +0000 UTC]
Generally I use a layer per plain (background, middle ground and foreground for example) but due to the limited layers of SBP on iPad1 I constantly merge the layers.

You've pretty much convinced me that my next computer is going to be an iPad. I've been holding out on delving into digital art for - what, four years now? - because the programs and tablets have been too expensive for only being able to do a few tasks. As a nice twist of luck, someone gave me a free iPod Touch when she graduated to an iPhone, and laid to rest all my qualms about using it as a digital notebook (typing on it isn't too bad if I take it out of its case). Now that I know how versatile and productive these machines are (they make research on the internet and typing out homework childishly fun, for God's sake), I'm going to dive in.
Sorry for the long comment. In short, you are awesome.

thank you for the kind words and no probs about the long post.
The iPad and various art apps really suit my workflow and style but I know it wont suit everyone, if you can get to play around on one before purchasing I would certainly do so.

I like the texture and overall scenery. it feels like its organic, yet stone. intention ?

thanks very much, must admit that the organic feel is purely by accident.
