I found your work while looking for pictures of dear Hodur... Thank you SO much for your comment that Frigga would mourn for both her lost sons! Esp. hard for her when she knew it was coming and could not stop it... it had to happen for the needs of the Cycle of life, death, and rebirth, but OH what a sad story!! And thank you for portraying Hod in a positive, loving light!

Yeah, he died... Read the Edda... It's very sad.

Oh, that is sad! I know the story somewhat, but I guess I never got as far as to find out what happened to Hodur - I must have been more concerned with Baldur ... Poor Frigg.

Hodur is killed by Odin's son Wali as revenge for Baldur's death, even though Hodur is only the murderer in act, not intention. Hodur and Baldur meet up again as brothers in Nebelheim, and come back from the dead after Ragnarok to rule together in their father's stead. It is a very sad tale but at least it has a happy ending...

I like it! The expression and the way you've drawn the clothes is really great!

I changed up the image and description to make it look neater and make more sense.
Frigg is the mother of Baldur and Hodur...

...which justifies her despair. wonderful, wonderful...i need to brush up on facial expressions; i've gotten so lazy lately that the only things i draw are clothes and featureless figures. you ever have slumps like that?

the most troublesome detail is that mine typically stretch from weeks into months. how do you get rid of yours?

Get inspired! Go look at an art gallery, go to the zoo, go to a play or simply go peoplewatching... Look for stuff that you want to draw, then force yourself to draw it. Force yourself to draw anything.

i have; and i have begun to see that numerous diverse strange people live in my head. everyone weard big headdresses, too, even the boys. and there are snake-people, frog-raptor-things, and mutated hippopotami (is that the correct plural for 'hippopotamus'? really, i have no idea. flying blind is such fun terror.)
now THERE'S an idea for a website. it'd be cool--a site that brodcasted meditation music and gave techniques and whatnot. hm!
