As I said in this journal , I was thinking of redesigning DC’s Equinox design and revamping her superhero name, civilian name, powers and backstory. And for the redesign, this is the best that I can come up with. If you want to see the original design, here it is. I made her cape white with black side stripes (or whatever the hell you call it), a blue short skirt dress with a belt that holds a white loincloth, two sleeves in one, the kree watch on her left wrist, white leggings and some boots. I also gave her a native jewelry which is says to bring good luck to the wearer and her family, the necklace has also been passed down for generations and she got it as a present from her grandmother during her high school graduation celebration. Oh, yeah, I aged her up a bit. From the original age of 16, to a 18 year old adult who has a job as a historian. Her original superhero name and civilian name sounds completely off, her first name bugs me the most. Miiyahbin is literally a made up name to I think "sound" indigenous Canadian. Which to me, is pretty racist. And her superhero name, Equinox, sound fitting for a very stupid power. Which is that she is connected to the seasons and their powers, and her powers change every time the season changes. And I'm like, "WHAT POWERS?!" Like, in the OG comics, we did NOT get a origin story and how her powers are explained in the first place. So I decided to change her names, and powers and give her an ACTUAL backstory. Anyway, her new superhero name is Element with her new civilian name being Migina Nadeau. Migina means "Child Born at New Moon" and Nadeau means "Christmas" And I imagine her new powers are manipulation of the 4 elements that are connected to the 4 seasons.
Winter = hydrokinesis
Spring = geokinesis
Summer = pyrokinesis
Fall = aerokinesis.
I imagine that she can combine them two at a time.
Geokinesis + Pyrokinesis = Magmakinesis (magma manipulation)
Hydrokinesis + Aerokinesis = Atmokinesis (weather manipulation)
Geokinesis + Hydrokinesis = Chlorokinesis (plant manipulation)
Hydrokinesis + Pyrokinesis = Atmóskinesis (steam manipulation)
I imagine the part of her clothing where the blue is changes the colors when a seasonal power gets activated.
Blue = Winter (default)
Green = Spring
Orange = Summer
Light grey = Fall
And I decided that she's a Cree (an indigenous Canadian tribe) and that she lives in Earth-8354, I think the kree (the aliens) will play a part in her new origin story.
The watch has 3 security steps to activate the watch. A voice and word combo password, time to set on how long you want to have these powers and finally, a final confirmation. The password is Kîwêtin (northern wind in the cree language), you can thank Seadragirl12 for that idea.
Anyway, now to give you as much of her new origin story as I can.

She moved from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada to Los Angeles, California, United States when the company she works in opened their doors in the US and Migina was given a raise and promotion despite being young, but that means she had to move to a different country to start a new chapter in her job. After moving to America and settling in, she decided to go for a walk out of town and discovered a crashed spaceship. When Migina decided to investigate to mysterious crash, she sees the pilots and recognizes them a the kree. While exploring the ship, she found a watch and decided to grab it as her own. But was then chased by a surviving kree, but was eventually rescued by ████, ██████ ███████ and █████ who she is a big fan of. Then all of a sudden, the powers of the green show up and fused the "powers of the seasons" aka the 4 classic elements to the kree watch that Migina stole. Out of confusion and curiosity, she activates the watch and transforms her into her superhero costume, and that freaked Migina out really badly out of confusion. With her idols help along with the heroes' friends/allies, they were able to figure out how the rework on the watch happened in the first place and why Migina was chosen to have these powers in the first place. Which is that the embodiment of the green has chosen Migina into having the powers of the seasons because 2 years prior, she successfully stopped a construction company from destroying a forest that will poison the air and will worsen the climate change at the time. Then a powerful villain showed up to try and take over the world. And so, Migina, her superhero idols and their friends/allies were able to defeat the villain while Migina decides to become the hero, Element. After defeating the villain, ████, ██████and █████ decided to start their own superhero team, with their friends and Element being its first members.

Sounds a lot better to me eh?
