I remember the first time I had seen those eyes many years ago when I was just a young woman and still working with my grandmother making dresses and sewing quilts just to have money to eat. One morning I was walking down the road going towards the market for milk when he and I met at the cross roads. I had never seen a dragon before that day, so imagine my surprise when I had seen him trying to read the signs pointing towards town. When he turned around and asked me for directions, I never thought that would be the beginning of a wonderful relationship...
I remember how he looked at me with those warm eyes. The only time I had ever seen them slit and threatening was when he was defending me, either from hoodlum vandals or drunkards. Even then, I still always saw the dragon that loved me gazing right back into my eyes..."
