how do you convert a picture of which you don't have a "twin"?
there are so many different depths in here that that must have taken a while...

I'm happy that you like what I do...it's a lot of fun, and it can be challenging at times, but I like the challenging ones. I do a technique called "displacement mapping" in Photoshop, which I learned how to do by following this amazing tutorial:
