Description Liquitex Heavy Body Acrylics and Liquitex Slow Dri Extending Gel

4 hours
Based loosely upon: www.sxc.hu/browse.phtml?f=view…

I have been doing a lot of airbrushing doodles lately, and thus I have been absent from submitting doodles (these are technical exercises and very dull to look at, but essential for me to learn the proper workings of the instrument)... that and my net being out doesn't help.

However I've also been practicing memory studies - I look at the stock image or scenery for a good 15 minutes, then paint for 30. Then look for 15, paint for 30. This forces me to pay more attention while I am looking, and to try to remember light, color, shape, and form enough to paint it with some likeness.

This is the first of such small doodle experiments I feel went somewhat well.

If you painted every day, you would be the same as I am.

Digital painting is cheap! Get a used, decent tablet on amazon or ebay, set yourself up with a free paint program, and dabble away.

There is pencils and paper for getting good at drawing, which are relatively inexpensive.

You could set yourself up with all you need to learn to draw with about $300 and a lot of spare time. But by learning to draw, think of the countless hours of time that will eat out of your day that you would be trying to fill up with things like television (which I assure you, will cost you more than drawing in the long run) and movies and other expensive activities.

I'm just saying... anyone can afford it, and find the money and time to do it, if they really want to.

Drawing ability is 5% creativity and 95% hard work. Anyone who tells you different is a liar! Or a genius of epic proportions, which I am certainly not.

I make poverty level income and yet I afford to paint.

Ok, soon as I find that day job, for now I'll try to just draw with water color pencils and graphite or that kind of thing. I had a tablet once but it isn't compatible with my current pc and is rather old and no longer being made. Ever here of Jam Studio? Sorry for yakking but that is what I still have though not hooked up. Not sure it would work on a newer machine. I really want that wacom pen tablet. Soon! lol
