The shoes to match my bag:These aren't original converse, they're relatively cheap knock-offs in plain red... however, they're awesomely unique now after I painted them.
The Doctor Who logo is on the inside part of both shoes, the right shoe has a Dalek on the outside, the left one has the TARDIS.
All hand painted without stencils.

Depends entirely on how complex the painting is. Of course the cost of shoes (converse are around $55 here at the moment) plus $40 - $200, depending on what's going to be painted on the shoes. Shoes like these would be at a price of about $120 (including cost of shoes).

Knock-offs are around 12 to 15 bucks, so $40 off the price, but won't last as long and I can't guarantee anything regarding their quality.

Nah, I just live in a "temperate rain forest climate" and spring and autumn are rainy seasons. So once summer starts I'll get to wear em out a lot more!

I had high tops last year and didn't like the way the paint would crease around the ankles, I also found that I didn't wear them often in the summer, so I went for the low ones this year.
