I wasted a few hours of sleep to make this but it was so worth it!

A friend of mine introduced me to the show Wakfu back in high school and it's been one of my favorite animated shows since. The animation style is great. The characters are great. The story and action are pretty great as well. It's a solid show that in my opinion, deserves more recognition.

One of the personal reasons why I love the show so much is Season 1 villain, Nox. In the show, Nox is part of a race that can manipulate time to a certain extent. His goal is to collect as much Wakfu (the life energy of all living things) as he can to power up a giant time machine and go back in time and save his family. From plants to animals to people, Nox isn't afraid to even exterminate an ENTIRE RACE to get what he wants. Pretty diabolical and downright evil even but here's what's interesting: Nox's reasoning. Despite all the murder and genocide he committed, Nox firmly believes that all of his crimes will mean nothing when he succeeds and rewinds time. It's kind fascinating because on one hand, he does have a point but on the other hand, he's still a bad guy doing bad things. To me,this guy is my No. 1 Animated Villain. He hits a lot of marks on what makes a great villain.

Has an evil plan that is easy to follow ✓
Has a solid motivation behind said evil plan ✓
Has a somewhat tragic backstory that makes him a bit sympathetic ✓
Is complex and interesting ✓
Has some awesome powers ✓
Along with some awesome fight scenes ✓
Has a kick-ass theme song ✓

I'd mention a few more but those involve spoilers for anyone who hasn't watched the show yet so...
Nox even had a special OVA episode that further explored his backstory and how he became a villain.

To wrap this up, if you like animation but don't have anything to watch, I recommend Wakfu though, I heard that it's better to watch the show in subtitles because most of the time, the English dub sucks.
