HelpEDIT: I really love how this turned out. I think it's my favorite thing in my gallery right now.
One of my "just start and see where it goes" ink pieces. The black is done traditionally with my trusty inking pens, the background was a quick digital touch-up in gimp. It just looked better with a grey background instead of white. I used some grunge brushes from somewhere. But I can't remember the original owner. Credit goes to them, anyway.
Can you tell I love drawing teeth?

It's not scary as much as it is awesome and telling. I see it as the ink monster reminding our intrepid artist that there is as much to be inspired by in drawing black and white dragons as there are in doing color. Also, it's going to eat her in a rather spectacular display of bestial hunger.... OH-NOM-NOM-NOM!!!

The inspiration for this was actually no inspiration at all. I just started drawing a person because I had a bit of spare time and nothing to do. The creature just formed around it, half of the time I didn't even really know what I was doing. If you look at these kind of pieces later and they turned out great, you get this awesome feeling of having accomplished something X)
So you're absolutely right, inspiration is everywhere.
I'm not sure what I tried to say with this picture though. It could be the monster is going to devour her. It could also be that she created the monster in her mind, it being some sort of nightmare, and it isn't really there. Who knows?

I was sort of thinking that it had something to do with your disappointment with the colorful Galidor trade you did. Personally, I think you're marvelous with colors, but you're also very strong with lines, shading, and the dark side overall.

This is so creepy. I was so drawn in by what looked like a million eyes, I didnt notice the little person melting down there.

In reaility, I only drew 8 eyes. And I was even afraid nobody was going to notice them X) I'm glad somebody did
And the person was actually the first thing I drew ^^ The creature formed itself around that doodle.

Drawing teeth and other sharp protrusions is part of what makes Art worth all the trouble.
Very interesting piece - dark and dangerous, and full of gooey ...stuff. I can dig it. Yes, the grayed bits in the background were a good idea. It helps the starker contrasts in the creature pop forward.

I'm glad I went with these contrasts in this picture. The background was originally white, but then it would be the same color as the creature. And even though I love black and white contrast, that just wasn't as appealing as I thought it was. So I added in some grey and that seemed to solve that problem ^^ I'm happy with it.

Sometimes I just have to draw something spooky to get my mind off things. I just started somewhere with this one and through lots of random doodling, this drawing was formed. It's a shame the paper stopped there, or I would have gone on and on with this X)

There's some kind of elusive, dark emotion in this picture that speaks to me in this picture. And that creepy contrast... I am unsure what is more evil and dangerous - that person, or that monster
