You loved and cared for the Winchesters the best you could. Food would be on the table for them when they got out of the shower, and then tiredly you would trudge up the stairs, but you wouldn't even grumble. The motels were always tidy, clothes always clean and supplies replenished.

But whilst the things you did for the boys made their lives easier and more pleasant, Dean loved you for you.

To Dean you were the most beautiful woman he had ever regarded.

He loved playing with your vibrant (h/c) hair, he loved the way you giggled at his pathetic jokes like they were actually funny, and he loved your kind nature. Dean knew you didn't love yourself, he knew you didn't see anything beautiful in the mirror and god damn that made you all the more special. He loved showing you how beautiful you were, whispering it in your ear when you were close in his arms, and watching the way you would shyly duck your head into his chest.

Hunting with you was easier too, your smile would carry them through the rough and reassure them during the ugly, and no matter what happened- comfort could be found in your arms when it was just too much for them to handle alone.

To Dean you were the most flawless woman he had ever held.

He doesn’t remember much from when you first met. They had been running after some jackass who had leashed a spirit, but by the time they'd caught up, the most exquisite creature he had ever seen was smiling down at said jackass on the floor. You had basically demanded they take you with them, picking up your bag, muttering about how you'd finally met the “infamous Winchesters” and sat yourself in Baby’s back seat.

You were one of the best things- no, THE best thing to enter their lives. And everyday Dean thanked a god he hated for you, you were a blessing, and he loved you selfishly. He was over protective, but you had fire and would never just give into him like that. He admired you and doted on you whenever he could, because you deserved the best and he had never deserved you.

Dean had never deserved you, because for starters you were amazing, but also because he's not a good guy. He's done bad things, he has a temper and a drinking problem, and he's a “douche-bag”- your words. He was unworthy of your affection, yet you loved him anyway. Despite all he’s done and all the women he's slept with, you loved him wholly and completely; you loved him with all your heart.

To Dean you were the most perfect woman he had ever seen.

And now Dean wishes he could take it all back. He wishes that he never met you, that they had ditched that hunt in Kansas and went the other way. He wants to go back to that night, grumble at your cheekiness and throw you out of Baby.

And not a single tear falls as he watches you burn, because Deans not broken without you-
