Its all magic,... mom use to take us on the porch to feel the wind, to smell the rain coming and to feel the mist of the beginning of the storm. It feels like the storm is cleaning away all the bad stuff and leaving us brand new. We would sit and admire the lighting, I really felt I was coming alive!!! I love a high wind, especially on the beach where the sea is rough, its really exciting. Mom was like that with us, and we shared the same with our kids.

A beautiful moment and feeling for you dear, i can't express this moment because mom was afraid of and i saw many time the lightning snap a tree or a light pole before, i'm now afraid of.

Yes, it has a lot to do with our parents and their exsperences, as well as seeing things that frightens us. But I remind my girls, you may be afraid of a tornado, but has it ever struck you? And when they said no, then I tell them, why worry about something that has never harmed you. Look at it, enjoy it, and know it will not reach you in harm. I am very happy they have taught my grandkids the same, so when a storm comes, everyone gets real excited. Its a happy time.
