You're welcome! Jon J. Muth is a legend in comics, if only because he was on the cutting of the graphic novel phenomenon in the late 80s. He did the first graphic novel to be done entirely in the medium of painting, the now classic Moonshadow, which he co-wrote with mystically oriented writer J.M DeMatteis (they collaborated again for a Doctor Strange graphic novel). He does his comic storyboards strictly in oil paint with the occasional cover done in watercolour. He has been the one to make full-scale painting an acceptable medium for comics and he has a style that strikes a nice balance between impressionism and realism. I hope this answers your question.
