Naming her took -about- as long as drawing her and that dumb background I gave her. -___- I am -not- pleased with it let me tell you.

In any case, you might recognize her as being fav.me/d2q4ags . Yes, it's true, but I backed out of the HARPG on that account because I wasn't fully into it. Now, I am. This is part of a character I really care about's history, rather than dredging up some old characters who I have never drawn or really thought of much before.

I'm also feeling more inspired lately. Don't worry about her disappearing like her 'old self' as she is here to stay. For a while I thought she would be near the end of the starter refs I would put up...then I realized I really need her for a barrels competition I want to enter. -___- So, sorry about that.

I have old art of her too that I'm going to put up. Hopefully they all count for group points.

Personality:// Epona is one of Jamison's first and favorite horses, his 'first love' he calls her occasionally. She is very sweet and gentle with people, liking to be brushed and groomed much more than being under saddle it seems. Epona can be somewhat stubborn on that front. She is very high-strung and her mouth is extremely sensitive so she will respond dramatically to any sort of pressure. Along with all of this, she is amazingly fast and can turn on a dime, making her an amazing barrel racer and breakaway roping horse. Jamison also hopes to make a good reining horse out of her yet. It is clear that Epona has a connection to Jamison, as she seems somewhat disinterested when other people are around. As for when she's with the other horses, she prefers the company of other mares to geldings. She seems to have a special bond to Cicely, though it does not cripple her when they're apart.

Background:// Epona was given to Hollow Grove even before it had a name or became a company. She was part of the original three that Jamison's mother had sought out, and was a donation along with Finn from a highly successful stable in the Limerick area. It seemed a random gift, but the other stable hoped to see something good come out of it and eventually build a strong partner out of Jamison's pending successes. Perhaps she was less of a donation than a loan based on Jamison's productivity. Nevertheless, they have never asked for her or Finn back.
