SMART | INTELLIGENT
Atlas might not look too bright, but she has a memory like a library. She remembers things very well. Not only that, but she knows a dozen languages. She can read, write, and speak English, Russian, Latin, Korean, German, French, Turkish, Arabic, Afrikaans, and Itallian. Her third skill is Geography. She can study maps in detail and understand them clearly.
LOYAL | DEDICATED
Atlas is loyal to her core. To anyone who shows her kindness, she will return the kindness tenfold. She may be cowardly and rather useless at times, but she will throw herself into the line of fire to protect the ones she loves. She is particularly fond of foals and individuals who are bullied.
SELFLESS | KIND
Atlas is the one the foals come to for stories and play time. Children are her greatest joy - they do not judge her stutter or call her names. She acts much like a teacher to them, and others around her. She enjoys devoting time to those around her, spreading love, and loving others. She's incredibly motherly, despite her youthful persona.
QUIRKY | UNIQUE
Atlas is so awkward and weird, Quirky is the only way to describe her politely. While most mares fuss about their beauty and their live life, Atlas' fashion is a pencil and books. She enjoys studying history in her free time, and is often found buried in a stack of books.
NERVOUS | CLUMSY
Socializing is awkward for Atlas, especially because of her bad stutter. Words starting with P, D, ST, V, and F especially give her trouble. The more pressured, the more her words stumble. She's worst around males, and easily frightened.. When scared enough, she will be unable to talk at all. Not only are her words clumsy, but her movements are too; She is often dropping things or falling over.
COWARDLY | WEAK
Due to a childhood of being bullied, and being born runty, Atlas has never been strong or brave. She is a coward till the end - trembling at the slightest sign of anger or turmoil. The only exception to this, is when those she loves are threatened - her maternal instincts are incredibly strong.
History ZONE-X
FOAL
Adia was a strong warrior mare of the Warhead Clan. She was a fighter through and through. In fact, she enjoyed her job a little to much some may say. Violent when it was unnecessary, and quick to bite, Adia was not a kind soul. So you can imagine the shock the people of the Warhead Clan felt when her belly began to swell with child. She made it clear her condition was not a weakness, but a chance to grow a future Warhead warrior.
However, her chance did not come. Alongside Adia was Nadine, her closest friend, whom was in foal to a stallion. It was not coincidence, however, that the two warheads were in foal. They had planned it; to birth two foals strong an fierce, and raise them together to become warriors. So when Nadine birthed a strong son of Gold and cream, and she birthed a stillborn, Adia's wrath was uncontainable. Emotionally unstable from her trauma, and rife with jealously, she killed Nadine and stole her son. She called the flaxen foal Flint, and raised him as her own.
Adia believe she had cheated nature, yet her joy would be short lived, as she soon came to realize over the next for weeks that her stollen son was lazy and weak. While a healthy colt, Flint cared not for fighting and war. He was a dreamer, often lost in his thoughts. Adia tried relentlessly to groom her son into a champion, but he failed and rebelled at every attempt. Eventually she grew frustrated and would hurt Flint, forcing him to do her bidding, and eventually he caved and did as he was told.
Not long after her stillborn burth, Adia had gone to find the father of Flint, and seduced him. A year passed, and Adia foaled two fillies; the half sisters to Flint. Something seemed to changed in Flint then; his training started getting somewhere. While still a dreamer, he began practising and learning basic battle skills.
His two new sisters were Clara and ??. Adia was overcome with frustration as her twins grew; both were small and weak. First she had lost her dream foal, and now she had been delivered two feeble fillies. Adia devoted every hour of her days to training her three children, trying to change Clara's gentle ways and Flints lazy attitude. But no matter how loud she yelled, how hard she pushed, or how fiercely she punished, little Clara was too timid to be the weapon she desired, and Flint only rejected his mothers dreams harder.
Flint tried tirelessly to fulfill his mothers expectations, but he failed. He was quick.. but not quick enough. He was strong.. but not strong enough. It made him care little for training - but one thing he had was a clever mind. But Adia cared none for intelligence. As the years passed, Flint suffered a miserable existence of anger and dismay. All the while, he watched his little sisters suffer even more. Clara was a runt, born a coward and weaker than a fly. ??? was ..... Adia grew less merciful over the years, and while Flint did his best to protect Clara and ???, it was never enough.
Without anyone seeing the truth of his mothers abuse, the siblings suffered under her care until the ages of 11 and 12.
TEENAGER
Eventually, a blessing in disguise would come. At the age of 12, Flint's mother was killed by a freak rock slide... in fact, some say it was rather suspicious. Flint ran back to the town, screaming for help as his mother lay trapped under a mountain of stone. But it was too late, and the fierce mare perished on the mountain side.
Flint grabbed his sisters and ran, making a beeline for the Keepers. He knew they would be safe there, and that they would be put to work - not enslaved. Gizmo welcome the pair into his clan, and finally the siblings knew home.
ADULT
Clara thrived under Gizmo's watchful care. The Keepers welcomed her like family, and Clara threw herself into the remarkable history of the humans. She learned how to read, write, and work with cartography. She was so tuned to her work, she was given the nicname 'Atlas'.
Flint was clever, but not made for the Keepers intellectual lifestyle. However, he was happy to watch his sisters thrive and life in safety. He became an Mechanic, and used his warrior knowledge to protect the Clan.
Atlas soon rose in the ranks, and eventually became Historian of Zone-X and commander of the Keepers. Her admiration for Gizmo blossomed, and she fell madly in love with her curious master. After years of hiding her affection, the pair found one another and became mates. Atlas now carries Gizmo's child, but there is a darkness growing around the family..
ELYSIUM
When the madness hit, Clara did her best to stay calm. However, she was pregnant and hormones made her unstable. Gizmo rushed her into the saftey of the Military base, and it was there she waited. The darkness of those bunkers was chilling and cold, but she stayed as strong as she could. The dark hour lastest for 6 months, until the equines emerged to find their world... desecrated. Atlas had been terrified for the health of her unborn child, and when she was able to see swollen womb for the first time in the sunlight, she was mortified by her size. She was far larged than what was natural, and her foal was painfully active inside. She wanted to be thankful Gizmo's child was still alive within her, but a dark feeling kept her joy subdued..
The journey to Elysium was particularly hard on the soon to burst mother, but she made it eventually. Exhausted and malnourished, Atlas swiftly made it clear she was no longer suitable to lead. She became a Dawnshielder, and has been working as hard as her body allows to re-establish their society.

- Atlas has a severe stutter that can render her speechless in intense situations. However, it disappears when in the company of Gizmo or when she is angry.
- She often has her pet rat in her bags or mane.
- Atlas always carries at least one book and pencil for taking notes.
