well I don't know much about ADHD I just know my ex friend had it pretty bad so just try to keep your mind distracted. music usually helps or maybe drawing? I don't know lots of people get their emotions out with drawing on here.Β

I need advice myself since I have it too, but I don't take medicine because of the side effects. What I do is try not to overwhelm myself and work at a comfortable pace that's also flexible. Certain things I have to push myself to do, but finding a good area of consistency helps a lot. Try not to do everything at once and work in intervals with breaks. I found that during those breaks, focusing on something else helps. Also drinking a lot of accounts water which keeps your mind hydrated and black coffee helps as well. In general figure out where you stand with your ADHD and find out what works for you in managing it.

That's good advice. I am not very consistent myself but I find as soon as I think of something I need to do, I do it in that instant because I'll only shrug it off ifnI wait to do it later.

And as for ADHD, I'd recommend avoiding caffeine and try 20 minutes of yoga each day and herbal teas. If you have trouble finding motivation, try setting a goal of some sort. It's by no means a medically based suggestion, but I've found that it helps me and doubly benefits by giving me more energy.Β

Marijuana helps me with my adhd. Whatever you do do not take adderall or ritalin. Its meth on training wheels

Does it? I am prescribed to ritalin and it helps some. I don't notice a big differwnce in it except that it's easier to get up I guess.

The expression of ADHD correlates heavily with nutrition.
Avoid sugar (Candy, soda, even fruits to some extent), and stick to a vegetable-heavy diet (Proteins are fine too, but i'd avoid cheap meat, especially pork).
Excercising is also important.
If those things dont suffice, try adding vitamin-b-complexes and zinc as food supplements.

It takes a few weeks for your body to accustom to these changes and actually benefit from it, but it is certain to help alot.

did u try mindfulness meditation? also cleaning up your environment can help. ( as in removing things that make you procrastinate, e.g. uninstall facebook, instagram, tinder and vine from your phone).
also try some apps such as: fabulous, any.do or rewire to avoid bad habbits and form new ones.

Caffeine isΒ said to have an opposite affect on those with ADHD. Where in normal people it makes then energetic, whereas with people who have ADHD it makes them tired, but with moderation, it can calm them down aΒ bit.

I think that might be true, I am officially diagnosed with ADHA and coffee dosen't really make me hyper (sometimes I even drink it before bed) and another friend with ADHA said she drank caffeine when she worked to focus.Β

as I read some of the advices about the coffee, I drink a lot of coffee, sometimes it helps me extremely hyped, heart beats fast but easily distracted (as always), but some other time it makes me sleeply all of sudden, still a mystery here...

I have ADHD myself and a certain amount of caffeine helps. If I have too much I get jitters and an anxious energy that isn't fun.

Caffeine helps with adhd and I like controlled multi-tasking to help with mine. Like I will text two or three friends while I write and it keeps my creative juices flowing.
