I think you could progress better if you started developing your own images. The practice would do you good. Copying images is rather easy. Creating your own takes more skill. You'll learn these skills as you go along, and your art will look great. You've just got to stick with because it will take time. It took me months before I started becoming happy with my own images. It's worth the wait though

Thanks for the advice but I don't think I'll ever be good because I always have to look at what I'm drawing like when you have to draw a vase in art class you have to look at it then draw it it's same for me when I draw cartoons

it depends on how often you draw the cartoon characters if you draw lisa from the simpsons about a 100 times your bound to remember and being able to draw it from memory art takes practice trust me
been trying to draw this one picture for months but keep screwing up as im not familer with drawing this character ironic as she is my profile pic and favourite disney character lol

when you look at characters like say sonic the hedgehog whats the first thing you think of
to me its his quills they kinda look like shark fins in my eyes also add the cyclops eyes and pupils and sausage shape muzzle and nose and their you have it sonic most famous cartoon characters come from shapes I mean look at mickey and minnie mouse famous for having round ears
remember your artwork is great already their is nothing wrong with using a reffence unless you steal and dont give credit of course just thought I would give you my thoughts on drawing perspective

Thanks for the advice but I'm not sure I'll ever be able to do that the only character I can draw from memory is stewie griffin I have short term memory loss because I had a brain injury but I love drawing I can draw from my imagination just not that good like when I drew my Meg and stewie in wonderland I had to look at stewie picture dressed as owl but I could draw the rest myself and I had to look at one of Meg but the rest was my imagination but I'll never be as good as the rest of the artists on here and I managed to draw Disney Bertram from imagination almost I did have to look at Disney stewie just to get the pose a lot of the time I look at colouring pages so I can draw it and I also have a illness which sometimes makes me bad at drawing and my hands get shaky and it's all wobbly but I still draw because I love it.
