Description There is a technique using what is called negative space, where one uses the larger amount of color(or in this case, the lack thereof, the white on the page), as a way to help form the created image. I was inspired to use this idea, with my next icon here,'The Face of Christ'.

Imagine that someone is out there, who has known you for years and years. Someone who watched you play, walk to your classes-even sleep, but not in any invasive way. More like, someone watching over you, in a loving way.

But they also knew just what you needed, and wanted. All your dreams, and even the ones that faded and were replaced by even more exciting ones.
Now imagine that person loving you so much, but like you, preferred not to settle for a friendship that was forced, but rather, a gift-given freely.
Well, that's a bit what it's like for Christ, deeply desiring our attention and friendship. He wants us to genuinely desire to know Him, and trust Him, no matter how things look, or seem, or what anyone else thinks or says. Real friendship, real love, is a gift, and never forced.
And consider this, because He always wants to get to know, each and every ones of us, and that we give our heart to Him finally, because we want to.

This image shows a portion of the suffering Christ endured for all our wrongs and mistakes, so we could get to know God and Himself, in the closest way possible. Christ is like the cord attatched to a lamp, we are the lightbulb, and God is the electricity. Once connected, can we truly be used for real purpose in this lifetime of our's, and shine brightly, full of love, depth and all things that make real sense.

The design and use of color are very compelling, as is your description. Praised be Jesus Christ.

Praise to Him here and everywhere indeed! Thanks for your kind words. I was considering creating a set of 2 images, with a 2nd of The Blessed Virgin, close up like this, but crying and looking very sad. This would be a set in this way, because it would capture how they both felt, around the same intense time. We shall see! Thanks again.

Thank you Yeinier! Great to see you again!
I had wanted to create a 'Bust of Christ' for a while, but wasn't sure how I wanted to capture it. However, after seeing a similar image done in a pin-up, seductive-style with a female in another piece, I wanted to use that in a totally different way. It's fun converting typical art ideas we see around us, into sacred ones. A bit like taking a cartoon wand and waving it around to make new things appear out of the old.
Thanks again for the kind comments.

Cowkul! My Friend! Thank you for those wonderful words from your heart, to share with me here. Beyond the great gift of sharing my art with others, is how it affects them, once it's out of my hands.
Thank you again, I am blessed by what you say, and again, humbled. Christ be with you too!
